The Situation

Quest Diagnostics is the pre-eminent diagnostic testing company in North America.  A Fortune 500 company with more than 48,000 employees and $ 7.7 billion in revenue, Quest provides access to diagnostic testing services for cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, neurological disorders, COVID-19, and much, much more.

Quest sought to bring their top 400 leaders together to set the direction for 2022. Traditionally this is a two-day in-person meeting but concerns surrounding the latest COVID variant required the team to pivot. Quest needed a safe, secure, interactive meeting solution that still fulfilled the organizational goals.

The Solution

Together, the Quest and Cramer team created a 2-day hybrid event by building two studios on-location at the company’s headquarters in Secaucus, NJ.  The dual studio approach allowed the program to flow seamlessly between Fireside chats, formal presentations, panels, and live Q&A.  All of the signals including the 8 camera feeds from NJ, the 20 plus remote presenters, and live entertainment were streamed back to one of Cramer’s 5 Broadcast Hubs. From the Hub, the program was cut LIVE adding graphics, music, and sound effects to the outgoing program stream.

The Results

The 2021 leadership conference was a huge success. The team received such positive feedback around the production quality, platform ease, and flexibility for their leaders. A major pain point for the in-person event was having their leaders be out of pocket and traveling for 3 days. The hybrid format allowed them time to fully focus on the content, while still being available to run the day-to-day operations of the business.
