Cramer Advances Broadcast Technology Capabilities with New Strategic Executive Hire

NORWOOD, MA, October 15, 2020—Events and content marketing agency, Cramer is expanding its leadership position in the fields of engineering and broadcast with the strategic hiring of Sean McGuire as Senior Vice President of Technology.

The events industry has been one of the most severely disrupted spaces by the COVID-19 pandemic. (According to PCMA’s survey of event planners, 78% of event planners over the next three months are redesigning traditionally face-to-face events to be completely online or to include a digital component.) Amid this digital transformation, Cramer has focused its efforts on advancing corporate events within the virtual space, often looking to TV broadcast studios for inspiration on how to make content even more engaging  as events move online. Sean McGuire was the ideal candidate to help evolve the agency’s capabilities in this field.

Sean brings expansive TV broadcast know-how to the Cramer team, where he’ll lead all aspects of Cramer’s broadcast studio technology. Prior to joining Cramer, Sean served as the Senior Director of Technology for all of the NBCUniversal media properties in the Boston market. While there he led the technical design and build-out of the NBCUniversal Boston Media Center, a state of the art 160,000 sq. ft. broadcast facility which serves as the home for NBC 10 Boston, NBC Sports Boston, Telemundo Boston, and New England Cable News. A two-time Emmy Award winner, Sean has also held roles as the Senior Director of Technology for NBC Sports Boston, and the Director of Engineering at Comcast SportsNet.

“Sean is one of the premier broadcast engineering talents in the Northeast. His experience in broadcast, engineering, and the strategic deployment of technology is a perfect fit to build on our engineering leadership in the marketplace. The need for technology visionaries like him is growing, and only going to accelerate in the coming years. Having Sean on board ensures Cramer will continue to be a go to agency in the Northeast,” said Cramer CEO TJ Martin.

Cramer is proud to welcome Sean onto the team. His guidance will help open up a new world of possibilities for Cramer and its clients, providing an extra edge during a time when experience matters more than ever.
