Massachusetts’ medical leaders rely on virtual events to collaborate and innovate amid the pandemic

NORWOOD, MA (August 7, 2020) – Event and content marketing agency Cramer has seen a record number of healthcare clients quickly pivot to virtual events since the pandemic began. “The type of healthcare client embracing virtual runs the gamut from pharmaceutical and life science companies to hospitals and patient communities,” said Julie Walker, EVP of Healthcare and a partner at Cramer. “A common concern was to keep information flowing, but with compliance and security in mind.” Cramer’s deep experience in healthcare and other regulated industries together with its broadcast capabilities and mastery of virtual platforms has enabled the agency to produce events like the “World Medical Innovation Forum” with Mass General Brigham, and the Siemens Healthineers’ “Point of Care Diagnostics Virtual Launch Event”. Additionally, MassBio has selected Cramer to produce its first virtual State of Possible Conference on August 26 and 27.

These virtual community events allowed industry leaders to collaborate and share the progress local life science organizations are making in the fight against COVID-19. “The speakers have been impressive – people like Moderna’s CEO, Harvard Medical School professors, hospitals’ CEOs. We are so proud to partner with the Massachusetts medical community on these events,” Walker noted.

Cramer has produced a video highlighting the advances being made in Massachusetts to combat COVID-19. The agency will be sharing it on social media, along with information about a collective industry effort called Life Science Cares. Life Science Cares was founded in 2016 as a platform for the life science industry to give back while also giving nonprofits the funds to grow and innovate. In response to the pandemic, the organization rallied 600 area biopharma executives and employees, from companies including Ironwood Pharmaceuticals and Syros Pharmaceuticals, to raise $1.8 million to be granted weekly to organizations that provide food, shelter and medical care. In addition to making its own contribution, Cramer is encouraging others in the community to donate to Life Science Cares.
