New Accelerator is the First-of-its-Kind Program for Event Technology Startups
Launched by Cramer, a global brand experience agency, this new accelerator is accepting applications for its Summer 2017 program.
The Cramer Event Technology Accelerator is a new three-month program that will fuel the growth and success of emerging event technology startups. This Accelerator’s member startups will deliver technologies for experiential marketing campaigns, brand activations, meetings and events, conferences and trade shows, community marketing programs, augmented reality/virtual reality/mixed reality, or similar.
“Within the world of brand experiences, the pace of innovation is compounding,” says Julie Walker, partner at Cramer. “Yet, unlike other technology verticals, our ecosystem did not have an Accelerator program that can catalyze and fuel the next great event technology startups. The specific needs and realities that surround event technology startups are unique. We saw that our industry needs an Accelerator purposefully designed for startups in this space.”
“This first-of-its-kind Accelerator for event technology startups is going to be special,” says Debi Kleiman, executive director of Babson College’s Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship and Cramer board member. “The Cramer Event Technology Accelerator program is built on the four pillars that make the most impact when launching startups: resources, people, curriculum, and promotion. All of that gets even more powerful when these startups plug in to the studios and partner with the teams at Cramer.”
“By working from our recently renovated studios, each startup will have free access to our diverse spaces,” adds Lindsay Nie, head of creative technology at Cramer. “The exclusivity and a expanded value of our Accelerator will be delivered through our teams and our diverse sets of expertise. These startups will be tapped into the same capabilities as our roster of global clients.”
“Startups have been an important partner in Cramer’s evolution and growth,” reflects Thom Faria, chief executive officer at Cramer. “From our success driving our own startups, like VideoNitch, to the stack of startups we work with today, like find Envoy, HelpScout, Robin, Showflo, and Wistia, our clients see that startups are embedded into how we work.”
“Each year, through our work with clients and our research for the popular Event Technology Landscape, we have seen how new startups are going from potential to success.” adds Lindsay Nie. “Through our Accelerator, we are looking for potential. Potential to be the next great event technology startup. Potential to solve major challenges for our clients. Potential to transform our industry.”
“Our goal is to make this a powerful program for entire industry,” says Julie Walker. “By not requesting equity nor providing any direct financial incentives, our member startups will continue to build their business. While our clients and, collectively, our entire ecosystem will benefit from the success that these startups create.”
